Welcome to ICCEM 2008
2nd International Conference on Crisis and Emergency Management

First of all, we welcome and thank all the participants to 2008 ICCEM with the title "Crisis and Emergency Management in Global Society: Managing the Disaster Relief and Promoting the Disaster Management Industry". The 2nd International Conference on Crisis and Emergency Management(ICCEM 2008) will be held on 16-18 October 2008, in Samcheok City, Gangwon-Do, and Seoul Kyoyuk Munhwa HoeKwan, Republic of Korea.
ICCEM is an international conference providing a good opportunity for scholars and experts and policy makers in the field of crisis and emergency management. After 9?11, 2001, lots of countries has changed the concepts of security, from conventional security to comprehensive security. Under the newly changed concept of comprehensive security, we realize how important our life and death. In this ICCEM, we emphasize the efficient management of disaster relief and the promotion of disaster management industry for making our global society more safe. We hope that this conference help our government and our civil society give the global societies the beautiful and hopeful dreams.
We, 2008 ICCEM Organizing Committee, offer our sincere thanks to the scholars and experts who are interested in the disaster relief management and disaster industry promotion, once again. This conference was made possible by their enthusiastic willingness to participate in our conference from U.S.A., China, Japan, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Portugal, and Korea. This conference could not have been successful without the contribution of all participants.
